We are seeking an exceptionally polished, charismatic, and highly professional Host/Hostess to serve as the ambassador and first point of contact for our exclusive clientele. As a premier destination for both refined dining and vibrant nightlife in Toronto, this role is critical in setting a tone of sophistication and seamless service from the moment a guest arrives.
The ideal candidate possesses impeccable grooming, effortless grace under pressure, and a proactive, genuine commitment to delivering a five-star guest experience. You will be entrusted with managing a complex reservation book, orchestrating the flow of the venue during high-volume periods, and ensuring every interaction reflects the establishment's luxury brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Elite Guest Relations: Warmly welcome and strategically seat discerning guests, recognizing and prioritizing VIPs, regular patrons, and special occasion parties with utmost discretion and professionalism.
- Reservation Mastery: Expertly manage all reservations, seating charts, and walk-in requests using advanced POS/Reservation Management systems (e.g., OpenTable) to optimize capacity across both dining and late-night services.
- Seamless Coordination: Act as the central communication hub, liaising effectively with FOH leadership and Kitchen staff to maintain flawless service timing and flow.
- Atmosphere Maintenance: Ensure the front entrance, host stand, and adjacent areas are impeccably clean, organized, and maintained to the standard of a high-end luxury environment.
- Conflict Resolution: Discreetly and efficiently manage any guest concerns regarding wait times, seating, or special requests, turning potential issues into positive service recovery opportunities.
- Venue Knowledge: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the menu, nightly features, beverage program highlights, and the transition schedule from dinner to the nightlife service period.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 1 year of continuous experience as a Host/Hostess or in a similar guest-facing role within an upscale restaurant or nightlife venue.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge and demonstrated efficiency with modern reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable) are essential.
- Service Excellence: A demonstrated track record of exceptional interpersonal skills, composure, and professional phone/email etiquette.
- Presentation: Impeccable personal presentation and grooming are mandatory, reflecting the high standards of the brand.
- Adaptability: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment that demands efficiency, precision, and quick thinking during peak dining hours and busy late-night shifts.
