The location of this role will be our Edmonds office in Burnaby, BC.
As a Co op student, you will learn and gain hands on experience supporting BC Hydro’s Call for Power program. Working
closely with program and project team members, your work will contribute to the planning, evaluation, and coordination of
complex energy initiatives.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Gain practical, hands on experience supporting a major corporate program within BC Hydro related to clean energy
development and system planning.
- Assist with program administration and coordination activities, including tracking milestones, schedules, and deliverables.
- Support analysis and review of information related to Call for Power submissions, project documentation, and stakeholder
inputs.
- Help prepare summary materials, briefing notes, spreadsheets, and presentations for internal use.
- Maintain organized records and support document management in SharePoint and other internal systems.
- Assist project and program team members with data gathering, basic analysis, and reporting activities.
- Participate in team meetings and cross functional discussions to learn how large, multi disciplinary programs are
delivered.
- Work primarily in an office environment, with exposure to how internal teams collaborate across engineering, planning,
and business functions.
- Take advantage of learning, training, and networking opportunities across BC Hydro to explore potential future career
paths.
- Depending on workload and team needs, duties may also include supporting special projects or process improvements
related to program delivery.
