Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Shop Foreman to oversee daily operations within our workshop. This is a salary plus performance based position. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands on mechanical knowledge, leadership abilities, and extensive experience with KIA or Hyundai brands. This role requires active involvement in maintenance, diagnosis and repairs, while ensuring safety and efficiency standards are met. The Shop Foreman will serve as a key leader in coordinating team efforts, managing shop personnel, and maintaining high-quality workmanship in the shop.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily shop activities related to both internal and customer vehicle repairs.
- Oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on both customer and internal vehicles.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer regulations.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints for accurate repairs and assembly.
- Manage inventory of specialty tools, parts, and supplies required for maintenance tasks.
- Conduct quality control inspections to verify repairs meet both manufacturer and company standards.
- Train and mentor team members to improve technical skills and safety awareness.
- Collaborate with clients or internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and service.
Requirements
- Proven experience in the automotive dealership environment.
- Mechanical expertise with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly processes.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual labor as required by maintenance tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service orientation when interacting with clients or internal teams.
- Valid certifications or licenses related to the automotive industry.
Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
