3rd Level Industrial Millwright Apprentice
Must be ready to write the 433A Certification Exam
Location: Burlington, ON
Compensation:
- 3rd Level Apprentice: Base + Average Production Bonus = $42.00 – $43.00 / hr
- Upon Licensing: Transitions to starting Millwright rate = approx. $46.89 / hr (Base + Avg PB)
- After 1 Year Licensed: Increases to approx. $49.74 / hr (Base + Avg PB) following a successful 1-year review.
- Additional Earnings: Overtime opportunities and Nucor Profit Sharing, with increased total earnings potential based on plant performance.
Schedule:
Rotating 8-hour shifts (Monday–Friday)
Days: 6:30am – 2:30pm
Afternoons: 2:30pm – 10:30pm (+$0.60/hour premium)
Nights: 10:30pm – 6:30am (+$1.00/hour premium)
Overtime:
Available based on production needs
Saturday paid at time and a half
Sunday paid at double time

Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and equipment
- Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, gearboxes, and drive systems
- Perform preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance
- Align, dismantle, and move industrial equipment
- Diagnose mechanical failures and complete repairs
- Collaborate with electricians and production teams to reduce downtime
- Maintain accurate maintenance records in the CMMS
- Participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives
Qualifications
- 3–5 years industrial maintenance experience (steel or heavy manufacturing preferred)
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be available for rotating shifts and overtime
Working Conditions
- Heavy industrial plant environment (hot, cold, dusty, and noisy)
- Physically demanding role including standing, lifting, bending, and working at heights
