About the Role
Are you an experienced electrician looking to apply your skills to cutting-edge manufacturing technology? LJ Welding Automation is seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Service Technician to join our Service team.
In this role, you will be the technical backbone of our operations, serving as a critical point of contact for our global clients. Whether you are troubleshooting complex systems remotely, installing sophisticated control panels in-house, or heading to a client site for a hands-on repair, you will ensure our automated welding technology delivers operational excellence every time.
What You’ll Do
- Technical Troubleshooting & Repair: Conduct diagnostic assessments and perform repairs on new and used equipment, utilizing your expertise to resolve complex electrical issues.
- Client Success: Act as a trusted technical advisor to our global customer base, providing responsive and professional support via phone, email, and in-person visits.
- System Installation: Expertly install and program electrical components and control systems, including Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), while ensuring full compliance with electrical standards and codes.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with our Shipping, Rentals, and Production teams to provide critical feedback that drives equipment performance and design improvements.
- Quality & Safety: Maintain a safe, organized work environment, accurately report on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and take ownership of service outcomes.
Who You Are
- Qualified: Journeyman Electrician certification is highly preferred.
- Technically Proficient: You have functional, hands-on experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and are skilled at reading and interpreting complex electrical diagrams.
- Problem Solver: You have a proactive, inquisitive approach to troubleshooting and are comfortable making decisions under pressure.
- Communicator: You possess strong verbal and written communication skills, allowing you to provide technical coaching to clients and clear, actionable reporting to management.
- Adaptable: You are well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as a key contributor within a multidisciplinary team.
Bonus Points
- Experience in mechanical diagnostics.
- Valid Fall Protection and Overhead Crane certification.
- Forklift operation experience.
- Basic computer proficiency for administrative and remote support tasks.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
