Classification and pay rate: Receiver Level 1
Number of positions and Location: 1 Position, Calgary
Pay rate: $25.00+ hourly
Work Schedule: Day Shift from 9:00am to 5:00pm
Overtime, Afternoon or Night shift as Needed
Weekend Overtime as Needed
Old Dutch Foods is looking for an experienced receiver to assist the current receiving department and give additional coverage in a Union environment at our Calgary plant.
Receiver Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store all production raw material supplies according to Standard Operating Procedures including incoming inspections
- Report any issues regarding raw materials to the shift Supervisor/Coordinator
- Complete daily and weekly inventory count accurately of raw materials
- Comply with allergen control policies within a warehouse environment
- Participation in the monthly weekend inventory counts mandatory
- Maintain raw material warehouse housekeeping in accordance with SQF and Government Agencies standards.
- Cooperate with the production department by moving a dependable quality supply of raw materials from the warehouse to the production line when they need it.
- Manage paperwork for inventory control purposes
- Cooperate with Production Coordinator/Analyst/shift Supervisors by providing timely raw material data.
- Relief for Receiver-Level 3 includes but not limited to
- Monitor Weekly raw material usage trends and reorder as needed
- Review daily production schedule and report any shortages to Coordinator
- Continuous clear communication with the potato suppliers
- Other tasks assigned by shift supervisor as needed.
Comply with the following:
- Standard operating Procedures and Policies (SOPP); Safety Rules & Regulations; Product Safety management (PSM); Safety Rules & Regulations (AIB, SQF etc); Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP): Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS).
Requirements:
- Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent
- 3 years or more previous Receiver experience
- Food manufacturing experience an asset
- Experience in unloading tractor trailers
- Class 1 driver’s license an asset
- Excellent communication, decision making, time management and organizational skills
- Have a proven clean safety record
- Satisfy physical demand analysis for the job. i.e. Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Be a team player and respectful of others
- Good attendance record
- A good understanding and accurate use of JDE an asset
- Good understanding of MS Office, MS Excel
- Experienced forklift operator with current certification and able to operate electrical stacker and pallet jack.
- A minimum score of 80% on a comprehension test
- Must pass the Receiver level 1 theoretical and Practical Exam within 45 working days
