Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated 50% Commission based Pet Groomer to join our team and provide exceptional grooming services for a variety of breeds. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks. Duties
- Bathe, dry, and brush pets to ensure they are clean and comfortable
- Trim and style fur according to breed standards or customer preferences
- Maintain grooming tools and equipment in clean and working condition
- Provide your own grooming equipment (clippers, scissors, blades, nail clippers and brushes), however consumable supplies and large equipment will be provided
- Assess each pet’s health and behavior to ensure safe grooming procedures
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming needs and aftercare instructions
- Handle pets gently and confidently, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the grooming process
- Assist with heavy lifting of pets or equipment as needed to facilitate grooming procedures
- Keep the grooming area clean, organized, and sanitized at all times
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Experience in pet grooming or related animal care fields preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, including lifting pets of various sizes
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with animals of different temperaments
- Attention to detail to ensure high-quality grooming standards are met
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety protocols
- Portfolio Preferred
