Job duties:
- Operate, use, and maintain all body shop equipment correctly and safely.
- Remove rust from metal and grease and filth from the work surface.
- Mask and protect parts which are not to be painted or primed.
- refinishing operations including cleaning, masking, prepping, application of paint materials, etc.
- clean and smooth the surface before applying primer and paint
- detailing of paint work including unmasking, inspection, touch ups, buffing, minor reassembly, etc.
- prep the vehicle for paint; sanding, taping, and applying primer.
- Works with the other employees to repair and prepare the vehicles.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Performs other tasks, based on management requirements and instructions
Education and Experience:
- 2+ years working in the field preferred.
- Prepping/Masking Experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in auto body finishing and repair
- Ability to interpret basic written instructions
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
