Support Student Success as an Educational Assistant!
FLCA is seeking a compassionate, flexible, and student-focused Full-Time Educational Assistant to join our team. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally while contributing to a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students individually and in small groups under the direction of the classroom teacher and school administration
- Assist with instructional activities, accommodations, and classroom supports
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment
- Support students with academic, behavioural, social, and emotional needs as required
- Assist with classroom organization, supervision, and daily routines
- Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support teams to help meet student learning goals
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Qualifications:
- Educational Assistant Certificate, related post-secondary education, or relevant experience working with children and youth
- Experience supporting students in educational settings is considered an asset
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, students, and families
- Flexible, dependable, and student-focused
- A recent (within the past 3 months) Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search is required
