Job Overview
Our event operation is growing! We are looking for the right individual to assist in overseeing our kitchen operations at our newly finished event space. The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of our event catering services and the management of prep responsibilities for our sister company; East Coast Lobster.
This role requires excellent communication and teamwork , high level organization, and an appropriate mix of culinary experience . We are looking for a hungry, hardworking, individual with high level of initiative.
Duties
- Work with and assist other kitchen staff carrying out day to day tasks such as prep, private event catering service, or store prep for our sister company.
- Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and consistency.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and positive work space with others.
- Maintain inventory levels and manage ordering of supplies to minimize waste.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff management to ensure timing and execution of service runs smoothly
- Enforce health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
- Develop menus that reflect seasonal offerings while meeting customer preferences.
Skills
- Experience in food service or a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team building.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proficient in food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Ability to supervise staff
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
