Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Team Leader to join our team. This position plays a key role in overseeing daily operations, supporting staff, and ensuring high-quality care for program participants. The Team Leader will foster a supportive environment that encourages growth, learning, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and mentor front-line staff, volunteers, and practicum students.
- Work with clients as needed.
- Coordinate daily programs and ensure smooth operation of activities and outings.
- Support staff in implementing individualized support plans (ISPs) and meeting quality-of-life goals for clients.
- Ensure compliance with PDD directives, safety protocols, and agency policies.
- Serve as a liaison with guardians, external partners, and community agencies.
- Assist with scheduling, ratios, and daily program logistics.
- Contribute to training initiatives and staff development.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Disability Studies, Social Work, Psychology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in leadership or supervisory roles in the disability services field.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Be able to adapt when situations change.
- Current First Aid/CPR, police clearance, and vulnerable sector check required (or willingness to obtain).
- Class 4 driver’s license or being able to obtain it within 3 months.
- Be familiar with Google Drive, Microsoft and other basic programs.
