Entwistle Concrete Products Ltd. is looking for Class 1 and/or Class 3 drivers to join our team. The positions to be filled is Seasonal with the opportunity for Full-Time depending on work ethic, competency, dependability, and fit.
Concrete Mixer Truck Driver – Seasonal (Spring - Fall)
Description:
- Safely operate truck in accordance with all applicable Provincial and company regulations.
- Efficiently load and deliver perishable product (concrete) to customer striving to provide quality and good customer service.
- Follow procedures to ensure truck is safe to operate. When not performing driving duties assist with plant maintenance, cleanup and other duties (which include manual labor) as assigned by supervisor.
- Complete required pre and post trip inspections reporting necessary maintenance as required.
- Operate truck to receive load, evaluate slump and drive to job site. Safely maneuver truck on job site, attach chutes to discharge material, clean truck to minimize concrete buildup.
- Complete all forms, tickets and required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Keep inside and outside of truck clean.
- Communicate with dispatch, maintenance and plant management to facilitate the flow of information required to provide good customer service.
- Ready-mix industry knowledge or related industry a plus.
- Gravel hauling experience considered an asset.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 or 3 license.
- The ability to lift 60 lbs.
- The ability to climb, bend and stoop.
- Good driving record to maintain insurability. A current 5-Year Commercial Drivers Abstract will be required at the time of hire.
- Must be able to supply references from past employers, as well as Claims Experience letters from past employers stating driving experience/time with that company, type of unit driven, and commodity hauled. This is a must for our Insurance Company.
- The ability to read and write English. Legible writing. Basic Math skills.
- Must be dependable, well organized, safety minded, and have efficient work habits.
- Basic vehicle maintenance skills

Contract length: 7-8 months
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
