Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including hospitals and outpatient clinics. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, proficiency in electronic medical records, and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing physical examinations.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by supervising physicians.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results, including phlebotomy for blood draws.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) using systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Collect and analyze data to monitor patient progress and outcomes.
- Provide care in various specialties, including pediatrics, ensuring tailored approaches for younger patients.
Experience
- A valid Physician Assistant license is required.
- Experience in a hospital setting or outpatient clinic is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is essential.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as Oscar is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in medication administration and patient care is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team are essential for success in this role.
