Job Description:
We are looking to hire an experienced full-time Forklift Operator for our London, Ontario terminal. The Forklift Operator is responsible for ensuring freight is properly loaded and/or unloaded with the proper bill control and supporting documentation. In a productive, safe, error-free, and time-sensitive manner. NB: This role embodies an exceptional career opportunity for a person familiar with a cross-dock setting, forklifts, and Dangerous Goods.
Available Schedules:
Overnights - Monday to Friday, 11:30pm - 07:30am
Duties & Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload trailers in strict adherence to company protocols to ensure safe and timely operations.
- Identify and manage OS&D (Over, Short, and Damaged) freight with attention to detail, ensuring accurate documentation and prompt resolution.
- Complete required documentation accurately and thoroughly, ensuring all records are in compliance with company standards.
- Comply with company health and safety policies at all times, maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, performing housekeeping duties as needed to ensure a tidy, efficient, and safe environment.
- Support management with additional tasks as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork to meet operational needs.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of previous warehouse experience is an asset.
- 1-2 years of previous counterbalance forklift experience is preferred.
- Cross-dock experience is considered an asset.
- Written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a time-sensitive environment.
- A criminal record search will be requested upon conditional offers.
