Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, educate customers about our products, and ensure a welcoming and professional environment. This role requires strong communication skills, product knowledge, and the ability to manage retail transactions efficiently. Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly valued, along with experience in retail sales, hospitality, or customer service. The Budtender will play a key role in fostering customer relationships and promoting responsible product use.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products based on their preferences and needs
- Educate customers on product effects, proper usage, and legal regulations
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and transactions
- Upsell products to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure product availability
- Manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment
- Handle customer inquiries professionally both in person and via digital communication channels
- Keep detailed records using Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and Filing systems
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements regarding product sales and age restrictions
- Support team members with daily store operations, demonstrating leadership when necessary
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail sales, hospitality, or customer service environments
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in French or other languages is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems, computer operation, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., stocking shelves or moving inventory)
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Bilingual capabilities (English/French) preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of merchandising principles and organizational skills for maintaining attractive displays
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings if required

Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour
