Overview
We are seeking a skilled Gas Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas systems and appliances. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The Gas Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring that all gas-related systems operate efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Install and connect gas lines, appliances, and equipment according to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on gas systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair gas leaks and other issues in residential or commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine installation requirements.
- Fabricate and build components as needed for gas system installations.
- Utilize hand tools, welding equipment, and other machinery to complete tasks effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inspection logs.
- Rig equipment safely for installations or repairs as required.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to gas installation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus, enhancing the ability to integrate heating and cooling solutions.
- Experience in welding techniques for fabricating necessary components.
- Ability to plumb gas lines accurately for safe operation.
- Strong skills in blueprint reading to follow technical drawings accurately.
- Capability to maintain equipment in optimal working condition through regular checks.
- Familiarity with rigging practices for safe handling of heavy materials or equipment.
- Proficient use of calipers for precise measurements during installations.

Pay: $25.00-$60.00 per hour
Experience:
- Gas Fitter or HVAC: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Gas Fitter C or B (preferred)
