What You’ll Do:
- Oversee day to day cafe operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Create and manage team schedules based on business needs.
- Train, mentor and motivate a high performing team.
- Uphold quality control across all food, beverages and service standards.
- Prepare speciality coffee beverages, including pour-over.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and foster a welcoming environment.
- Maintain cafe cleanliness, organization, and basic equipment maintenance.
What You Bring:
- A positive, motivating, and team-focused attitude.
- Proven cafe or restaurant management experience leading mid-sized teams.
- Barista skills in specialty coffee sector and the ability to train others on coffee standards and quality.
- Valid FoodSafe level 1 certification (required), Food Safe level 2 is an asset.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- A hands-on approach and attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of inventory management, ordering, and cost control.
- Experience with scheduling and labour cost management.
- Comfort with hiring, training, and developing team.
- Ability to stay calm and lead effectively during high-volume periods.
- Genuine commitment to hospitality and the guest experience.
- Basic comfort with POS systems and reporting.
