Dairy Lane Systems started in 1990 as a Surge milking equipment dealer. Since that time, we have expanded our scope to include automated milking robots, stabling, manure management, plumbing and ventilation services. Most recently, we acquired 2 milking equipment dealerships in Western Canada. In addition to the milking equipment sales, service and installation business, we are also involved in the design, build and operation of renewable energy biogas plants (DLS Biogas), the construction of agricultural structures (DLS Structures) and the manufacturing of dairy farm equipment (DLS Manufacturing).

The successful candidate will work as part of an innovative and creative team to create parts for milking parlours, manure management equipment and barn stabling. Our new fabrication/weld facility has brand new equipment and the latest technology. The position will involve operating a CNC Plasma Tube Cutter, CNC Tube Bender.
This is a full-time position working Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 4:00 pm. We offer a total compensation package that includes competitive pay, comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth and advancement, come grow with us!
Job Requirements
Set up, operate and monitor machinery according to established procedures
Perform daily startup and shutdown procedures
Read and interpret blueprints
Inspect and maintain equipment for conformance with safety requirements
Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report major problems to management
Perform daily and weekly maintenance activities and report equipment problems
Check parts for conformance to acceptable limits
Keep work area clean, organized and free of hazards
Crane operations, forklift operations as required; loading/unloading and lifting of heavy materials
Ensure safety-related concerns are corrected prior to performing operations
Prioritize production runs to ensure customer order requirements and deadlines are met, maximize machine run time plus productivity
Ensure optimum machine performance
Provide quality workmanship consistent with company and industry standards
Follow Health and Safety requirements in all regards ensuring prevention of illness/injury
Skills and Qualifications
Previous experience operating and troubleshooting manufacturing machinery
Ability to set up and adjust machine settings to ensure accurate performance
Good hand eye coordination, capable of performing tasks at an acceptable production level
Proficiency using measuring tools: including tape measure, vernier calipers
Experience working with other CNC metalworking equipment an asset
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine product specifications
Strong attention to detail and precision in work/ proficient computer and mathematical skills
Strong work ethic and desire to be part of a high-performing team
Highly organized to plan your day and prioritize your workload meeting deadlines and ensuring customer satisfaction
Previous forklift experience an asset
Ability to work independently or as part of a team and take ownership of assigned work
Strong communication skills to clearly communicate with the team as necessary
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Pay is commensurate with experience
Must be legally entitled to live and work in Canada
Valid G driver’s license with a clean abstract and own vehicle, we are out of town and not on a transit route
