ServiceMaster Restore of Mississauga offering professional emergency property remediation and disaster recovery services, responding 24/7 to incidents such as water, fire, smoke, and mold damage. We work with homeowners and business owners to limit loss, handle insurance claims, and restore properties back to pre-loss condition with professional restoration and reconstruction services.
About the Role
The Project Manager oversees all aspects of fire, water, mold, and storm damage restoration projects from initial emergency response through project completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while delivering exceptional customer service to homeowners, commercial clients, insurance adjusters, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Oversight & Execution
· Manage multiple restoration projects simultaneously, including fire, smoke, water, mold, and storm damage.
· Conduct site assessments to determine scope of work, mitigation needs, and safety requirements.
· Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
· Coordinate and schedule crews, subcontractors, vendors, and equipment.
· Ensure all work meets industry standards (IICRC), local building codes, and company quality expectations.
Client & Insurance Communication
· Serve as primary point of contact for clients, insurance adjusters, property managers, and other stakeholders.
· Provide regular updates on project status, timelines, and changes.
· Prepare and present estimates, change orders, and documentation for insurance claims.
· Maintain strong working relationships with insurance partners to support recurring business.
Documentation & Compliance
· Create accurate job files including photos, notes, moisture logs, safety documentation, and material/labor tracking.
· Ensure compliance with safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
· Maintain detailed and timely documentation in restoration management software (e.g., Xactimate, Dash, Encircle).
Team Leadership
· Lead and support mitigation and reconstruction crews throughout the project lifecycle.
· Provide guidance on best practices, safety procedures, and quality expectations.
· Resolve onsite issues and troubleshoot problems proactively.
Quality Control & Customer Satisfaction
· Perform site inspections throughout the project to ensure adherence to scope and standards.
· Conduct final walk-through with client to ensure satisfaction.
· Address customer concerns quickly and professionally.
Qualifications & Experience
· 3+ years of project management experience in restoration, construction, or related field.
· Possesses IICRC certifications (WRT, FSRT, ASD, AMRT, OCT, etc.)
· Strong knowledge of fire, water, and mold mitigation processes.
· Advanced communication and customer service skills.
· Ability to manage multiple complex projects with tight deadlines.
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
· Proficiency with restoration estimating software (Xactimate preferred).
· Experience working with insurance carriers and adjusters preferred.
· Background in construction/reconstruction project management preferred.
Work Environment
· Fast-paced, field-based role requiring travel to job sites.
· May involve emergency after-hours or on-call response.
· Working conditions may include exposure to water, smoke, debris, and hazardous environments (with proper PPE provided).
