Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Skilled Laborer to join our contracting team. This role involves performing a variety of hands-on tasks across multiple trades, supporting the successful completion of residential, and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and some experience in the construction field. Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate project execution
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and machinery safely and efficiently
- Assist with concrete forming, finishing, and restoration projects
- Install cabinetry, flooring, tile, and perform masonry work as needed
- Conduct carpentry tasks including framing, caulking, and trim installation
- Support construction estimating activities by providing labor input and material estimates
- Execute construction painting and other finishing tasks to meet project specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work site to ensure safety and efficiency
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or related trades such as carpentry, masonry, welding, or flooring installation
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing techniques, and concrete laying processes
- Experience with electrical systems or plumbing is preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions
- Valid <PERSON> (or relevant identification) required for employment eligibility
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different project requirements
