Job Overview
We are seeking skilled and dedicated Mixer drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and mixing materials for concrete production, ensuring high-quality standards are met. This role requires a understanding of heavy equipment operation and mechanical knowledge, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Maintaining an accurate log book
- Performing various administrative duties including submitting delivery slips to customers, collecting payments for deliveries, and other tasks as required.
- Driving in a safe and courteous manner at all times.
- Adding products to the mix manually, when required.
- Cleaning the ready-mix truck and mixer, both inside and out, following product delivery.
- Operate heavy equipment for mixing and transporting materials.
- Prepare concrete mixtures according to specifications, ensuring proper ratios and consistency.
- Ensuring that the unit meets all safety guidelines, at all times.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on mixing equipment and report any issues.
- Wear proper PPE when required, adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years driving experience with comparable equipment.
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues is an asset.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks as required.
