Receptionist / Pre-Tester

Anderson Family Vision Care is looking for a positive, friendly, and dependable individual to join our amazing team in Steinbach.
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and professional experience. We are looking for someone who enjoys helping people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to learn new skills. No previous optical experience is required—we provide comprehensive in-house training.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and check in patients
- Perform preliminary testing before patients see the doctor
- Answer incoming phone calls and schedule appointments
- Assist walk-in patients and visitors
- Complete administrative and clerical tasks
- Support the team with additional responsibilities as training progresses
- Assist with light cleaning and organization during slower periods
Qualifications
- Positive, friendly, and professional attitude
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills. Because this position involves communicating with patients, doctors, and other healthcare professionals throughout the day, the ability to communicate clearly and confidently in English is essential.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Professional telephone etiquette
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to remain calm and de-escalate challenging situations
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Previous reception, medical office, or customer service experience is an asset, but not required
