Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their properties. This role requires a proactive approach to surveillance, loss prevention, and law enforcement practices. The Security Guard will monitor premises, conduct regular patrols, and respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities.
- Utilize surveillance equipment including CCTV systems to monitor activities and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Respond quickly to alarms or emergency situations, assessing the situation and taking appropriate action.
- Prepare detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences for management review.
- Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary to address security breaches or criminal activity.
- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients, employees, and visitors.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in law enforcement or security roles is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems including CCTV is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and strategies is an asset.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policy.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
