As a Road Service Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnosis, inspection, and repair of specialized equipment directly at customer locations. You will act as a ambassador by delivering safe, efficient, and professional service interventions.
Your contribution to the company's success will include the following tasks:
- Traveling to customer sites or job sites to perform service calls.
- Diagnosing issues and determining necessary repairs for quote preparation.
- Carrying out repairs in accordance with quotes and within allocated time frames.
- Adjusting settings and calibrating various machines.
- Performing annual mechanical inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Completing repair, inspection, and preventive maintenance reports following the 2C method and attaching required photos.
- Immediately reporting any discrepancies with the quote to the immediate supervisor.
- Communicating safety concerns to the immediate supervisor.
- Adding all necessary parts (taken from the truck inventory) to work orders for repairs not initially included in the quote.
- Returning empty bins and unused parts to the parts department for inventory restocking.
- Managing and assisting with mobile unit inventory.
What we are looking for in our future colleagues:
- Significant experience in construction equipment mechanics, heavy mechanics or agricultural mechanics.
- Customer service experience.
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic diagrams.
- Valid driver's license.
- Bilingualism (English-French) - Asset.
- Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and precision.
- Logical thinking, analytical skills, and strong diagnostic abilities.
- Organized, rigorous, autonomous, resourceful, and able to manage priorities.
- Good communication skills.
