The Medical Radiation Technologist II (MRT) performs all routine radiographic/fluoroscopic, computed tomography and interventional procedures, and may work in a specialized area and/or coordinate daily work activities of the MRT team. The MRT II also produces radiographs of high diagnostic quality in an efficient and safe manner while attending to the diagnostic and care needs of patients undergoing diagnostic/therapeutic procedures. The MRT II is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: Graduate of a recognized Medical Radiation Technologist program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) required. BLS (Level C - Health Care Provider) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Positive attitude and reliability. Working toward CTIC or willing to begin. Provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care. Must work collaboratively with Radiologists, Nurses, Emergency teams, and Diagnostic Imaging staff. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient safety practices are followed. Participate in quality improvement and workflow initiatives within the department.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current CT certification CTIC. Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment. 2-year recent experience in an Acute Care Hospital.
