Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly and responding to their needs promptly.
- Assist with food preparation and serving as needed in compliance with food safety standards.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and preparation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the shift.
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or experience in the food industry is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
