For over 30 years, UNO Foods Inc has been a leading food wholesaler & distributor to the Asian grocery and food service industry. We are looking for an energetic, responsible team player to join our team on a full time basis as a Warehouse Worker. This is a Full-time, permanent position working 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, 8hr shift between 6AM to 5PM with a flexible start time.
As a part of our warehouse team, your daily tasks will include the following:
Summary of Job Responsibilities:
- Order picking / order selection, pack, palletize, wrap and stage orders
- Unload and palletize products from containers
- General warehouse cleanup and organization
- Work in both ambient and freezer temperature (-18C) areas of the warehouse
- Operate walkie, walkie-rider or reach truck and other material handling equipment
- Verify accuracy of orders, shipping, receiving
- Backup delivery driver (5-ton truck Class 5 Driver's License). Training provided and no prior experience necessary.
Qualifications and Skills
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and positive, “can-do” attitude
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Excel in a fast paced environment.
- Can repetitively lift, stack, pull and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Previous experience with motorized pallet jack and/or reach truck is an asset but not required. Training will be provided.
- Previous warehouse work experience preferred.
Compensation:
- $20.00- $21.00/hr competitive starting wage. Starting wage will depend upon previous relevant work experience.
