Pay
Schedule
Day Shift from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Monday to Friday);
Full-time hours, with weekends or overtime as required.
Responsibilities

Perform minor repairs as reported by the customer or Janitorial services team including but not limited to: light bulb replacements, desk adjustments and sit/stand relocations, dispenser installation (paper towel, toilet paper, hand soap, hand sanitizers), washroom repairs (partition hinges, door handles, locks, toilet sets), ceiling tile replacements, minor floor repairs (tile and carpet);

Support regular janitorial preventative maintenance including but not limited to: cleaning and clearing floor drains, chemical dispensers repairs/replacement, shower head replacements, etc.;

Troubleshooting issues with sweeper and scrubber equipment prior to calling repair services;

Track and monitor site wide consumable supply levels ensuring adequate supply is always on hand;

Ensure all janitorial closets are stocked with required consumables/supplies;

Submit consumable order request (vendor supplied/TMMC supplied) receive and organize all supplies in designated areas;

Provide escort to sub-contractors brought onto site by vendors, the customer, or company;

Wear proper PPE, steel toe footwear (OSHA approved), masks, safety glasses, bump caps etc.;

Lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift to move materials and carry supplies;

Perform physically repetitive tasks: work in a fast-paced environment, bending, lifting, pushing/pulling, using stairs, reaching, scrubbing, prolonged standing and walking;

Follow all instructions, safety policies and procedures;

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years experience with minor repairs in a handyperson capacity is required;
Experience previously working in a manufacturing or industrial environment is strongly preferred;
A valid Ontario class 'G' driver's license is required to operate on the Toyota premises;
Availability to work overtime and on weekends as business needs require;
Motivated and self-driven, with a willingness to learn;
Strong problem-solving skills with an attention to detail;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Ability to work well independently, and as a team player when required;
Must be able to reliably commute to 1055 Fountain Street North in Cambridge for work.
