Position
We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Account Manager with experience selling into both private and public sector organizations.
This role focuses on generating new business opportunities and expanding VDI’s presence within government and municipal markets. The successful candidate will work closely with and promote VDI’s AI-powered technology, CITYROVER, an advanced platform designed to automate the detection and management of roadway and municipal incidents.
The ideal candidate is proactive, self-motivated, and eager to contribute to a fast-growing AI and SaaS technology company where performance and success are recognized and rewarded. Candidates are encouraged to familiarize themselves with VDI and the CityROVER platform prior to the interview process.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Learn and understand the commercial and technical aspects behind our AI platform.
- Develop and manage relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and outbound sales activities, including cold calling.
- Collaborate with the company’s Community Engagement Manager to determine strategic technical solutions and sales approaches.
- Educate clients about the company’s products and services.
- Assess client requirements and recommend appropriate goods and services.
- Maintain and expand the daily prospects and client database.
- Conduct research and analysis on current and potential industries and clients related to transportation, infrastructure, environmental protection, energy, sustainability, and smart city initiatives.
- Support presentations, proposals, and client meetings as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in technology sales, SaaS sales, account management, or business development.
- Experience with artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, or technology solutions is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable generating new business opportunities and managing client relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new technologies and industry trends.
- Post-secondary diploma in a technology-related field required.
- Highly motivated, energetic, and results-oriented.
- Professional and personable communication style.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Salary range indicated is a base salary.
