Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will be responsibe for dishwashing, and general kitchen duties to ensure smooth restaurant operations. This role is perfect for individuals interested in hospitality, food service, and gaining experience in a fast-paced culinary setting.
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health standards
- Ensure compliance with food handling and safety regulations at all times
- Support the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen environment to meet health standards
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work well as part of a team
- Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen operations is a plus
- Hospitality or food service experience is advantageous but not mandatory
