Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our food service establishment called Subway. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing a team, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a positive and efficient work environment. Previous restaurant management, hospitality experience, or barista background is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality service
- Lead and motivate team members to meet performance standards in food preparation, serving, and customer interactions
- Oversee food handling procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling accurately
- Conduct interviews and assist in hiring qualified staff; provide ongoing training and coaching
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers as needed
- Enforce health and safety policies, including proper food safety practices and sanitation protocols
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to maintain excellent customer service standards
- Assist with kitchen operations when necessary, including food preparation and cooking oversight
- Ensure adherence to restaurant policies, procedures, and hospitality standards
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in a food service or restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of food industry practices, including food handling, safety, and sanitation standards
- Experience with food preparation, cooking, serving, and hospitality operations
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms; cash handling experience required
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interviewing staff and engaging with customers
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous hotel or barista experience is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of restaurant management principles and customer service excellence
