Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their development through engaging activities and educational experiences. This role requires a strong commitment to early childhood education, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Assess children's progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs, including those of children with disabilities or special education requirements.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff through effective communication and collaboration.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and behavior, providing feedback to parents as needed.
- Organize classroom activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Supervise children during playtime and other activities to ensure safety and engagement.
- Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
Skills
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of French is a plus.
- Strong background in childcare, including experience working with young children in an educational setting.
- Familiarity with special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities.
- Excellent teaching skills with an emphasis on early childhood education methodologies.
- Outstanding communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Proficient computer skills for classroom management and administrative tasks.
- Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities efficiently.
