WE ARE HIRING IMMEDIATELY for a Driver / Yard Labourer at our Dartmouth Branch. The duties of the position include:
- Transport equipment and gear to and from job sites by truck
- Pick and prepare scaffolding equipment and gear for jobs
- Load and unload trucks
- Operate forklift truck (telehandler)
- Complete necessary log books and paperwork
- Service customers
- Keep warehouse and equipment yard clean and safe, including snow removal as needed
- Review equipment returns (rentals), check for damage, and prepare for return to the appropriate supplier
- Complete truck and equipment inspections and identify repairs or service required
Required qualifications and experience:
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract
- Forklift, Straight Truck experience and driving with trailer
- Experience with material delivery to congested worksites
- Experience and ability to perform physical labour (lifting 50lbs on regular basis)
- A strong work history focused on safe work practices
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Work Location:
- Dartmouth Branch / In-Person
- Require reliable transportation to/from work
- Full-time hourly position with normal work week of 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
- Primarily an outdoor working environment
- Physically demanding
