Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HVAC / Plumbing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a comprehensive understanding of plumbing systems. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and installing plumbing and heating fixtures and systems in both residential and commercial settings. The Plumbing Technician will work closely with clients to ensure their needs are met while adhering to safety standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, and malfunctions.
- Install new plumbing systems, fixtures, and appliances according to blueprints and schematics.
- Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electrical and HVAC technicians, to complete projects efficiently.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while on the job site.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding service options and recommendations.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various plumbing systems.
- Plumbing, HVAC or gasfitter certification required.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus.
- Valid commercial driving license preferred for transporting tools and materials.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools effectively in a construction environment.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing installations.
- Capability for heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs.
- Knowledge of assembly techniques relevant to plumbing fixtures and systems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
