We are entering a major digital growth phase:
- Migrating our website to Shopify to go fully digital and scalable
- Expanding toward a future mobile app experience for activation, onboarding, self-serve support, and retention
Why This Role Exists
CanadianSIM has a strong product and competitive value, but our digital presence and messaging are not yet performing at the level needed to compete globally. We need a leader who can increase awareness, sharpen how we communicate our value, and drive measurable growth across the full funnel — from discovery to conversion — while coordinating internal teams and external agencies.
Role Summary
We are hiring a Digital Growth & Exposure Strategist to own and lead our digital marketing strategy.
This role is accountable for end-to-end results across the funnel:
Exposure → Awareness → Acquisition → Conversion → Retention
You will lead strategy, execution direction, performance management, and optimization. You will manage:
- Graphic designer
- Social media coordinator
- UI/UX specialist
- marketing agencies (paid ads, SEO, PR, influencers, etc.)
This is not a campaign coordinator role — it is a growth leadership role with direct impact on revenue and market visibility.
Key Responsibilities
1) Growth Strategy & Brand Positioning
- Build and execute a strategy to grow our visibility globally
- Define target audiences
- Establish positioning and differentiation vs competitors
- Create clear messaging that explains why choose us
2) Performance Marketing Leadership (Paid Acquisition + Global Qualified Leads)
- Own ROI performance across acquisition channels to drive global qualified demand:
- Google Ads (Search + Performance Max)
- Meta Ads
- YouTube / TikTok (where relevant)
- Retargeting funnels
- Build and optimize campaigns to generate qualified leads and purchase-ready customers from across the globe.
- Ensure tracking, attribution, and reporting are accurate across regions, devices, and campaigns
- Optimize for CAC, ROAS, lead quality, conversion rate, and checkout completion
- Direct and manage external paid agencies with clear KPIs, testing roadmaps, and accountability
3) Organic Growth (SEO + Content Strategy)
- Lead SEO strategy
- Build a scalable content engine including:
- High-intent landing pages
- Comparison pages v/s competition
- Newcomer and student-focused guides
- Travel connectivity content
- Align content strategy with Shopify migration and conversion-focused pages
4) Value Communication & Conversion Alignment
- Improve how we communicate:
- What we sell
- Who it’s for
- Why it’s better
- How it works
- Collaborate with UI/UX specialist and web teams to strengthen:
- Clarity and trust
- Plan selection flows
- Checkout experience
- Activation onboarding content
5) Social Media, Influencers & Partnerships
- Build a growth-driven social strategy focused on reach, acquisition, and brand trust
- Drive influencer programs and community partnerships
- Create repeatable systems for UGC production, distribution, and paid reuse
- Ensure consistent positioning and clarity across all channels
6) Marketing Operations & Team Leadership
- Manage internal resources:
- Graphic designer
- Social media coordinator
- Set weekly priorities, deadlines, and output cadence
- Lead creative direction using performance data and market insights
- Manage agencies across SEO, paid ads, influencer, and creative support
- Ensure accountability, reporting standards, and continuous optimization
7) Analytics, Dashboards & Growth Experimentation
- Define KPIs across the funnel:
- Reach and awareness
- Engagement and acquisition
- Conversion and retention
- Build dashboards that show what is working and what needs improvement
- Drive a culture of testing:
- New audiences
- New messaging
- New landing pages
- Creative variants
- New channel experiments
- Scale winners and eliminate low-performing activities quickly
Requirements
- 5+ years in digital growth / performance marketing / growth strategy
- Proven ability to grow awareness and acquisition for ecommerce or subscription products
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Google Ads
- Meta Ads
- SEO strategy
- influencer / partnership marketing
- Experience managing internal teams and external agencies with measurable KPIs
- Strong funnel + data mindset: you optimize from exposure through conversion
- Strong communication and positioning skills
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment
Strong Bonus Skills
- Experience in telecom, travel, prepaid SIM, or eSIM ecosystems
- Shopify ecommerce growth experience
- Experience with CRO and UX collaboration
- Ability to use automation + AI tools to increase output and efficiency
- Experience launching brands from low visibility to scalable growth
Portfolio / Proof of Work Requirement
You must provide evidence of:
- Campaigns you led and measurable outcomes
- Scaling paid channels with improving efficiency
- SEO or content growth wins
- Influencer / partnership growth results
- Examples of agency management and accountability
