Who are we?
Code Ninjas is Canada’s fastest-growing kids coding franchise. Our centre is located inside the ActvityPlex at 3410 Mainway in Burlington, Ontario. Kids ages 5-14 learn AI, robotics and to code in a fun, non-intimidating way at their own pace – by playing and building video games. Our focus is to see kids learning while they are having FUN. We provide a whole child development approach drawing on the 21st century learning objectives that focus on equipping students with essential skills for modern life, primarily emphasizing the 4 C's: critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity.
We are a place where kids feel like they belong and parents are thrilled as their children gain confidence and new future-focused skills in technology, coding, and problem-solving, as they progress through our globally recognized ISTE Approved curriculum.
We place a high value on community, helping underprivileged kids, supporting our Ninja families, and really getting to know everyone on a personal level. Our Ninja’s accomplishments even outside our Dojo are our points of pride too!
Who are you?
You are an enthusiastic person who can manage daily operations while supervising, delegating and mentoring a team of exceptionally bright Senseis.
You love working with kids and are completely comfortable engaging with parents. Although you may not be a coder yourself, you aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and take on learning basic skills and thrive to continually grow and sell the various Code Ninjas programs.
Your unwavering leadership skills mean you are a self-starter that can turn great ideas into action. You are detail-oriented and a strong delegator to create team goals and accomplishments. You inspire, you create and you make it happen!
You have a strong background in creating a fun, interactive, environment with exceptional attention to detail in your organization skills. You put a high value on kindness, inclusion, and smiles.
You notice the little details that make a place welcoming and are excited to bring your personal touch to our Dojo.
Responsibilities
As a key player, you will contribute to the success of the centre including but not limited to:
- Supervise daily operations of centre.
- Be an ambassador for the Code Ninjas brand
- Follow up on sales leads, schedule centre tours, and help families register.
- Engage with children and families in the centre.
- Ensure that parents understand how their child is learning and progressing.
- Scheduling of staff shifts.
- Ensure the centre is a fun and safe learning environment for our students.
- Uphold cleanliness & operational standards.
- Report regularly with owners and regional director.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree.
- Experience with children ages 5 and up, and enthusiasm for working with kids.
- Superior communication skills with staff and customers.
- Experience in business operations, sales, and team leadership an asset.
- Comfortable with technology (e.g. Microsoft Office 365 suite, social media tools, Hubspot CRM, office equipment)
- Available for most operating hours which are Tue-Fri 4-8pm and Saturdays 8am – 3pm with expanded hours during camps.
- Must be positive, energetic, and and fun to work with and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
- Deadline and detail-oriented to ensure all customers expectations are met.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience teaching kids and understanding their needs an asset.
- Coding knowledge/experience an asset.
