Job Summary
Forged-CS is seeking a Cyber Investigator to support online investigations, digital intelligence gathering, and investigative research for private, legal, and corporate matters. The ideal candidate has experience conducting online investigations, identifying digital footprints, reviewing public records and open-source information, organizing evidence, and preparing clear investigative findings.
Responsibilities
The Cyber Investigator will be responsible for:
Conducting OSINT and online investigations using publicly available sources
Researching individuals, usernames, companies, domains, social media accounts, and digital footprints
Reviewing and organizing digital evidence, screenshots, links, records, and case notes
Identifying relevant online activity, patterns, connections, aliases, and risk indicators
Assisting with cyber-related investigations such as online harassment, fraud indicators, impersonation, exposure checks, and reputational risk matters
Preparing clear written summaries of findings for internal review and client reports
Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive case information professionally
Following legal, ethical, and privacy-conscious investigative practices
Verifying information before it is included in reports
Working with internal team members to support investigation planning, evidence review, and final reporting
Preferred Experience
The ideal candidate should have experience with one or more of the following:
OSINT investigations
Cyber investigations
Social media investigations
Digital footprint analysis
Threat or risk intelligence
Fraud research or online scam investigations
Background research
Report writing
Evidence collection and documentation
Requirements
Previous experience in cyber investigations, OSINT, intelligence analysis, or related investigative work
Strong online research and analytical skills
Ability to write clear, professional investigative summaries
Strong attention to detail
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
Good judgment and ability to verify information before reporting it
Understanding of ethical and legal limits in online investigations
Ability to work independently and follow case instructions
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: $7,000.00-$7,500.00 per month
