The Opportunity
We are looking for a commercially driven sales leader with a strong track record of selling into electric utilities, ideally across transmission and distribution environments. You will bring industry knowledge, a strong network, and the ability to build relationships from engineering and operations teams through to executive decision-makers.
In this role, you will lead strategic account growth, create new opportunities through proactive outreach and networking, and manage complex sales cycles from early engagement through proposal development, commercial negotiation, and close.

What You’ll Do
- Own and grow strategic accounts, including multi-site or multi-division customers
- Lead complex sales cycles involving technical and commercial negotiations
- Develop long-term account strategies aligned with customer needs
- Expand relationships to senior customer stakeholders
- Drive conversion of pilots into commercial agreements
- Provide accurate forecasting and pipeline visibility
- Mentor junior sales staff and share best practices
- Contribute to regional sales planning
What We’re Looking For
- 5–8+ years of enterprise B2B sales / business development experience, preferably in:
- Power utilities (T&D), grid operations, asset monitoring, or utility software/OT solutions; and/or
- EPC/engineering services selling into utilities and grid operators
- Proven track record of new logo hunting and closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
- Strong commercial skills: qualification, deal strategy, proposal development, negotiation, and forecasting.
- Willingness to travel ~60% across Canada;.
- A high-ownership mindset suited to a growth-focused commercial role.
Strong Plus (Preferred Experience)
- Experience in underground cable monitoring systems (e.g., partial discharge monitoring, condition monitoring, fault location, asset health platforms).
- Experience with ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management Systems) and related integrations (SCADA, OMS, GIS, DERMS, control room environments).
- Existing relationships within US utilities, EPCs, consultants, or key ecosystem partners.
- Demonstrated success in securing pilot programs and converting them into broader commercial opportunities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $180,000.00-$230,000.00 per year
