About the Opportunity
Purposeful Change Psychotherapy is expanding and looking for a couples therapist who wants to build a meaningful, steady caseload within a practice that prioritizes depth of work and clinical integrity.
Our clients are often professionals managing high-demand careers alongside relationship stress, life transitions, and family responsibilities. The work is nuanced, emotionally complex, and rewarding.
This role is ideal for a therapist who wants to focus on couples work in a consistent, in-person setting while being part of a collaborative and supportive clinical environment.
The Work
You’ll be supporting couples navigating:
- Communication breakdowns and recurring conflict cycles
- Betrayal, trust injuries, and repair work
- Emotional disconnection and intimacy concerns
- Major life transitions (parenthood, career shifts, cultural/family pressures)
You’ll have the autonomy to manage your caseload while also having access to consultation, collaboration, and clinical support when needed.

You likely:
- Have experience working with couples and understand relational dynamics beyond surface-level problem solving
- Are comfortable holding emotional intensity in session while maintaining structure and direction
- Value ongoing growth and refinement of your clinical skills
- Are looking for a practice where you can stay and build long-term
Requirements
- Registered Psychotherapist (RP or RP(Q)) or Registered Social Worker (RSW) in good standing (Ontario)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical psychotherapy experience
- Formal training in couples therapy (e.g., EFT, Gottman, or attachment-based approaches)
- Strong working knowledge of attachment theory
Considered an Asset
- Advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT/EFCT)
- Experience with trauma-informed modalities (EMDR, somatic approaches, etc.)
- Comfort working with high-functioning or professional populations
- Experience integrating individual and couples work when needed

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $108.00-$162.00 per hour
