Location: Burnaby
Compensation: Starting $70,000 (Depending on experience) + Performance Bonuses
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
About the Role: We are looking for a Field Operations Manager & Lead Installer who is tired of "good enough."
We are a high-end signage company that takes immense pride in our work.
We are in a major growth phase, and while we’ve had success, we’ve hit a bottleneck: we need a master of the trade to step in and take absolute ownership of our field operations.
We’ve navigated the common growing pains of inconsistent contractor quality, and we are looking for a true professional who wants the authority to fix these issues and build a standard of excellence that stays consistent from the first drill bit to the final client sign-off.
You aren't just an installer; you are the "Last Gate." You ensure our brand promise is fulfilled on every project.
Compensation & Performance Incentives:
We know that a top-tier installer is the backbone of our revenue. We pay for expertise and we offer a clear path to earn more based on your performance.
Base Salary: Starting$70,000 per year (commensurate with experience).
Performance Incentive Plan: Up to $8,000 annually in additional performance bonuses.
Our bonus structure is transparent and tied to:
● Quality Excellence: Maintaining zero-defect installations and callbacks.
● Efficiency: Keeping installation projects on time and within budget.
● Documentation: Real-time updates and "Last Gate" project closure using our management software.
● Lead Generation: eligible for an uncapped 2%–5% Sales Scout Commission on any new business leads you identify in the field from existing customers to new customers
● Benefits: general group health insurance
● The Gear: A fully equipped company van, top-tier machinery, and the autonomy to manage your site workflows.
What You’ll Be Doing (60% Field Work / 40% Field Management)
● Master Installation: Executing high-complexity installs, including precision privacy film, large-format murals, channel letters, and architectural signage.
● QC Gatekeeping: You are the final authority on-site. You have the full authority to pause, inspect, and reject contractor work that doesn’t meet our quality bar.
● Mentorship: Guide our preferred internal installer and installation partners, providing technical coaching to ensure their work aligns with our standards.
● Project Workflow: Managing all site-level activities via project management apps.. You’ll ensure all photos, notes, and milestones are documented in real-time so our office team has 100% visibility.
● Client Representation: Acting as the face of the company on-site, solving technical hurdles, and securing the final sign-off.
Who You Are (The "Rare Beast")
● The Master: You have deep, verifiable experience in the signage/architectural film industry. You have encountered every on-site disaster possible and you know how to solve them.
● Leadership Guts: You are comfortable having tough conversations with contractors to hold them accountable. You prioritize quality over rushing the job.
● Tech Literacy: You are comfortable using a project management program to manage your workflow. You understand that a job isn’t finished until the documentation is uploaded.
● Professional & Reliable: You hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and are 100% comfortable driving a large installation van in urban environments.
● Certification: Current Fall Protection, Aerial Platform (Scissor/Boom Lift), and WHMIS certifications.
● Flexibility: Availability for early starts (6:00 AM) or late-night mall installs as project deadlines dictate.
