Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, handle transactions efficiently, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases in a professional manner
- Operate POS systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and perform basic math calculations with precision
- Upsell products and promote store promotions to increase sales opportunities
- Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about features and benefits
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the sales floor is tidy and inviting
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Follow phone etiquette standards when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth checkout processes
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product presentation strategies
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Good time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Friendly demeanor with strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technology sales tools or product demos as required
