We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Hand Exterior Installer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have 4–10 years of hands-on experience in exterior renovations and a proven ability to lead crews, coordinate projects, and maintain high-quality workmanship. This role involves overseeing residential and light commercial projects while actively participating in the installation of siding, soffit, fascia, eavestroughs, and other exterior building components.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a crew of installers to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
- Install and repair exterior building components, including siding, soffit, fascia, eavestroughs, trim, and roofing materials using hand and power tools.
- Read and interpret project specifications, measurements, and work orders.
- Coordinate daily job site activities, material requirements, and crew assignments.
- Train, mentor, and support team members to promote skill development and productivity.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Apply caulking, sealing, and weatherproofing techniques to ensure long-lasting results.
- Utilize carpentry skills for framing, cutting, fitting, and finishing materials as required.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure proper installation and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work site at all times.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, customers, and team members regarding project progress and any site issues.
Qualifications
- 4–10 years of experience in exterior renovations, including siding, soffit, fascia, eavestroughs, and related installations.
- Previous leadership, foreman, or lead hand experience is considered a strong asset.
- Strong knowledge of installation methods, materials, and industry best practices.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and team leadership abilities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to lift and carry construction materials up to 75 lbs.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dependable attendance.
