As our retail business continues to expand, we're looking for an experienced Production Kitchen Manager to lead our production kitchen and help build efficient systems that will support our next stage of growth.
Job Summary
The Retail Food Production Coordinator plays a vital role in managing and optimizing the production processes within a retail food manufacturing environment. This position ensures that production schedules are met efficiently, quality standards are maintained, and supply chain operations run smoothly. The coordinator collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to align demand planning, inventory management, and manufacturing activities, utilizing advanced ERP systems to support seamless operations. A strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and demand forecasting is essential to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Duties
- Lead and oversee daily food production
- Manage, train, and support kitchen staff
- Plan daily and weekly production schedules
- Ensure consistent food quality, portion control, and presentation
- Maintain Food Safe and sanitation standards
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock rotation
- Improve kitchen workflow and production efficiency
- Help develop and implement SOPs as the company grows
- Work closely with management to support new retail locations and product launches
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Manager or Production Chef
- Experience in high-volume food production or retail meal manufacturing.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and demand planning methodologies.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for building efficient kitchen systems and processes
- Food Safe certification
- Able to start work at 6:00 AM
- Familiarity with ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
