Warehouse Attendant / Forklift Operator
Job Description: Well established, busy trucking company is currently looking for a part-time Warehouse Attendant for our Fort Saskatchewan Terminal.
We have a solid business base with numerous industry partners and contract owner operators. We are looking for someone to cover our warehouse and forklift activity for 20-30 hours per week with the opportunity to have up to 40 hours per week during holiday coverage. This position is Monday – Friday from 2pm – 6pm and has the potential to grow into a full-time position for the right individual.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload freight.
- Sign off cross-docks, ensuring any irregularities are noted.
- Sort freight – Lift boxes up to 50 lbs.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks with safety.
- Keep a positive attitude for customers and peers in the facility.
- Observe all company rules, policies and procedures with regards to quality control, Occupational Health and Safety, etc.
- Keep the dock and warehouse surroundings clean and tidy
Qualifications:
- Warehouse Experience and Shipping & Receiving Experience an asset
- Experience with loading & unloading trucks & trailers
- Forklift maintenance experience an asset
- Transportation of dangerous goods, CSTS, WHIMIS and Forklift training or willingness to obtain.
- Effective and professional communication skills. Must be fluent in English, reading, writing and speaking.

Benefits:
- $20 - $22 / hr
- Benefits after 3 months of 30-40 hrs per week.
