About The League
The Northern Super League is Canada’s first professional women’s soccer league, dedicated to growing the sport and engaging passionate fans nationwide.
In our inaugural season, we ranked among the top five women’s soccer leagues in global attendance, welcoming over 300,000 fans to stadiums, reaching more than three million Canadians through broadcasts, and seeing more than 25 players called up to their national teams.
With season two underway, we’re seeking a growth-oriented marketing manager to help us reach more fans.
About The Role
Your goal in this role is to support the execution of the league’s marketing initiatives, helping drive broadcast and streaming viewership, audience growth, fan engagement, ticket sales, and league events. Reporting to the marketing director, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and executing multi-channel campaigns, managing marketing operations, and supporting day-to-day campaign delivery across the league.
You’ll thrive in this role if you are highly organized, collaborative, and comfortable working across departments, agencies, freelancers, clubs, and partners. You understand how to keep campaigns moving, can manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment, and bring strong attention to detail to every stage of execution.
Key responsibilities include:
Support the execution of integrated multi-channel marketing campaigns across broadcast, digital, social, email, and paid media platforms.
Coordinate campaign timelines, deliverables, approvals, asset trafficking, and marketing calendars to ensure campaigns are executed accurately and on schedule.
Coordinate with agencies, freelancers, clubs, broadcasters, and internal departments to support campaign execution and league marketing initiatives.
Support the rollout and execution of promotional initiatives tied to league priorities, matches, tentpole moments, and special events.
Assist in coordinating and developing multi-platform marketing materials and assets across broadcast, digital, social, and paid media campaigns.
Review marketing materials and deliverables for accuracy, consistency, formatting, and attention to detail across platforms.
Support the adaptation, organization, and trafficking of creative assets across campaign formats and channels.
Update the NSL website via a CMS with relevant marketing materials.
Support marketing initiatives that prioritize broadcast and streaming viewership growth, while also driving fan engagement, ticket sales, and event awareness.
Assist in executing email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and CRM initiatives to support fan acquisition and retention efforts.
Help manage audience targeting, segmentation, and campaign optimization efforts using available data and platform insights.
Support fan engagement initiatives through digital campaigns, surveys, contests, and promotional activations.
Review campaign performance reports, audience insights, and marketing data to help identify optimization opportunities and improve campaign effectiveness.
Assist in monitoring key marketing metrics and compiling campaign recaps and reporting summaries.
Support testing and optimization efforts across creative, messaging, targeting, and distribution strategies.
Assist in maintaining accurate campaign tracking and reporting across platforms.
Support the use of platforms such as Tradable Bits, Google Analytics (GA4), and Ticketmaster.
Support the execution of league events, matchday marketing initiatives, media events, and promotional activation, which will require some availability outside regular working hours.
About You
The best marketing managers contribute both to creative idea generation and to rigorous implementation of those ideas.
In terms of specific qualifications, you have some or all of these:
2+ years in a marketing role, where you implemented multi-channel marketing campaigns across broadcast, digital, social, email, and paid media platform
Experience using a CMS for website management
If on top of this you have interest in and experience with sports (particularly soccer and women’s sports) and/or you are French/English bilingual, you will cut to the front of the recruiting line.
The Details
This is a full-time, permanent, remote position (anywhere in Canada) open to anyone who is legally entitled to work in Canada. Typical hours are Monday to Friday regular working hours, with flexibility required around special events. Target compensation is $67,000/year with comprehensive group benefits, RRSP matching, and three weeks vacation.
