Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of plumbing, gas fitting, and related systems, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics accurately. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and gas systems in commercial and residential settings, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that require technical expertise, mechanical knowledge, and precision craftsmanship. Speaking more then one language is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and gas systems according to project specifications and safety standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute precise installations and repairs
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction tools effectively and safely
- Perform heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment to job sites
- Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing fixtures, piping systems, HVAC components, and related mechanical equipment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality workmanship
- Troubleshoot system issues using schematic diagrams and technical manuals to identify root causes
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
Experience
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Plumber or Gasfitter with a valid license or certification
- Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, gas fitting procedures, HVAC systems, and maintenance practices
- Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Proficient in using hand tools such as wrenches, pipe cutters, screwdrivers; power tools including drills; welding equipment; and carpentry tools
- Familiarity with schematics for troubleshooting complex systems and performing assembly tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various working environments
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in industrial settings is highly desirable

Pay: $30.00-$48.00 per hour
