Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated carpenter to join our construction and restoration team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in carpentry, concrete work, and the use of various power and hand tools. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including concrete finishing, siding installation, framing, and heavy equipment operation. Candidates should be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of performing physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting. Prior experience in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and woodworking is highly valued. This position provides hands-on experience in construction and restoration projects, contributing to high-quality craftsmanship and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute construction tasks accurately
- Perform concrete forming, finishing, and related tasks with precision
- Install siding, framing, and other structural components using hand tools and power tools
- Operate heavy equipment safely for excavation, lifting, or material transport
- Conduct welding and woodworking tasks as required for project completion
- Utilize a variety of hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, assemble, and install building materials
- Assist with restoration projects by repairing or rebuilding structures according to specifications
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
- Maintain a clean work environment and properly care for tools and equipment
Skills
- Experience with concrete forming, finishing, and related techniques
- Knowledge of siding installation, carpentry, and woodworking skills
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as hammers, saws, chisels, etc., as well as power tools like drills, saws, grinders
- Strong understanding of construction safety protocols
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods
- Experience with welding processes is a plus
- Familiarity with restoration techniques for various structures
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
