Contract is until the end of August 2026
We are looking for a student to work in our warehouse during the summer months.
Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading of product and materials by hand, or with basic material handling equipment.
- Picking orders and putting stock away while often working at heights.
- Weighing of materials and goods, making labels, wrapping, sorting and stacking.
- Maintaining an organized inventory, performing daily/weekly and monthly cycle counts.
- Successfully operate a computerized inventory control system, using RF scanners
- Working together keeping open communication while problem solving, in a faced pace environment with repetitive tasks, heavy lifting, bending, crouching kneeling, manual dexterity etc.
- Comfortable with numbers and finding information, significant use of memory as well.
- Cleaning and general upkeep of work area
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities you may rely on:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable) is an assest
- Ability to handle weights up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working at heights
- Demonstrated self-starter who works independently with minimal direction
- Comfortable with computers (computerized inventory control system)
- Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions require
Environment Conditions
- Walking & standing on hard surfaces for extended periods of time.
- Forklift traffic
- Regular, predictable, attendance is an essential function of the job
- CSA approved Steel toe shoes or boots are mandatory
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week
