Button Health is a new family medicine clinic in downtown Toronto, at Bay and College. We are looking for full-time family physicians to join a multi-physician practice built around attached, continuity-based primary care.
The incoming physician provides full-scope family practice to an attached patient roster. Button Health provides a curated waitlist of unattached patients before your start date; you select your full roster during onboarding. Attached roster only, no walk-in volume. No on-call required. In-clinic cross-coverage for rostered patients is available during short physician absences. Clinic hours are Monday to Friday with an optional Saturday; the physician works with the clinic team to set a suitable schedule.
Payment structure is FHO+ capitation, based on rostered panel size, plus shadow billing and applicable premiums. Compensation is on a split basis with all overhead, staffing, marketing, and administrative services provided; specific terms are reviewed during the interview.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations of patients
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses across all age groups
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work and imaging studies
- Develop personalized treatment plans for patients
- Provide preventive care, including health screenings
- Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the clinic's EMR
Practice Support
The clinic provides full administrative and operational support so physicians can focus on clinical work:
- End-to-end billing through a dedicated billing service
- Reception, scheduling, and clinical support staff
- Referral coordination and rostering paperwork
- AI scribe support during encounters
- Online booking and patient self-check-in
- Patient portal for results and follow-up
- Furnished clinical space, equipment, and IT support
- Additional training
Experience
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience as a family physician
- Currently practising in Ontario
- Proficiency with electronic medical record systems
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted CPSO Certificate of Registration for Independent Practice, or a restricted certificate under CPSO's US-trained pathway
- CCFP or ABFM board certification in family medicine
- Active OHIP billing number
- CMPA coverage in good standing
- CPSO number required in application; ABFM Diplomates include ABFM ID
This role does not include relocation assistance.
Clinic Details:
The clinic is a large 7 exam room newly-built out family medicine space in a professional medical building at 790 Bay Street, Suite 536 at Bay and College. Located steps from College subway station and easily accessible by TTC. Pharmacies, laboratories, and x-ray/ultrasound facilities are in building. Situated near the University of Toronto and surrounded by residential condos, the clinic is positioned to serve professionals, students, and downtown residents.
