Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Superintendent/Maintenance Manager to manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of a residential rental building. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, values tenant satisfaction, and is comfortable being the on-site point of contact for building needs.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct daily inspections of the building and common areas
· Perform minor repairs and maintenance (basic plumbing, patching, painting, light electrical)
· Respond promptly to tenant service requests and emergencies
· Coordinate and supervise contractors and service providers
· Oversee cleanliness of common areas and waste management
· Assist with unit turnovers including move-in and move-out inspections
· Ensure building safety, security, and compliance with local bylaws
· Maintain logs and communicate regularly with property management
Qualifications and Skills
· Previous experience as a superintendent, building operator, or maintenance role preferred
· Strong maintenance and troubleshooting skills
· Good communication and customer service skills
· Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies when required
· Physically capable of performing maintenance duties
· Knowledge of residential building systems is an asset
· Stable full-time employment
· Support from a professional property management team
Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
